Recycle your old batteries Buy a battery from us and we will recycle your old battery! All rechargeable batteries must be recycled. This includes (SLA) lead acid, (Nicad) Nickel Cadmium, (NiMH) Nickel Metal Hydride, (Li-Ion) Lithium-Ion, and (Li-Pol) Lithium Polymer. You should be able to find the chemistry written on the battery. Just remember that if it is rechargeable, then it must be recycled. Please keep our landfills free from these products by doing your part to recycle. We will gladly accept any rechargeable batteries for recycling in a 2 to 1 ratio, for free. What this means is; if you purchased one battery from us, we will accept two batteries from you of like size for recycling. This helps you and our environment. You can ship these batteries (freight prepaid) to the address listed on our Contact page. From our perspective, when you purchase a rechargeable battery, the retailer or distributor should offer you the option to recycle the old battery. If they do not, we recommend you purchase from someone who does the right thing. Alternatively, for a local listing of retailers that will accept your old rechargeable batteries, please contact the RBRC at 1-800-822-8837. This is an automated number, which you can find a list of local members by zip code. The RBRC is a non-profit industry organization for rechargeable battery recycling. If you have a large number or large weight of rechargeable batteries that need recycling, we would be more then happy to help you get them recycled. Even if you didn't buy the replacement batteries from us. We do not charge for this help, but there may be fee's involved with recycling at some point in the process. We offer this help for free because we care that much about recycling. Please go to our Contact page and find the local number to our office. Local laws very on the issue of recycling, fee's, fines, etc. We strongly advise you to contact your local and state agencies to find out what the requirements are for disposal and recycling of batteries, and if there are documents required. This holds true for anyone, but especially applies to businesses. You are solely responsible for meeting your legal requirement for battery disposal and recycling. We can only offer you help, we make no claims, either written or implied that our process meets any specific requirements or laws. Only that the batteries given to us directly for recycling are in fact recycled. We will gladly give you a receipt that shows the poundage, number of batteries, and the chemistry. We do not track or provide any other information, accept as required to us by our local laws. |
